A.國民保健服務模型(NHS,The National Health Service Model)： 特色為範圍普及，財務來自一般稅收，醫療服務機構的所有權及控制權為政府所有，實施國家例如：英國、澳洲、丹麥、芬 蘭、冰島、挪威、瑞典、紐西蘭、愛爾蘭、希臘、義大利、西 班牙、葡萄牙等。
B.社會保險模型(NHI,The Social Insurance Model)： 特色為強制性的全面保險，財務由雇主及員工共同負擔，醫療 機構由政府或私人擁有，採此類模式的國家最多，包括：德 國、法國、加拿大、比利時、瑞士、荷蘭、盧森堡、奧地利、 比利時、韓國、日本等國，美國之老人保險、貧民保險和我國 之全民健康保險亦屬之。
C.私人保險模型(The Private Insurance Model)： 以雇主為單位或以個人為單位購買私人健康保險，財務由個人 或與雇主共同分擔，醫療服務機構由民間擁有，例如：美國 等。

Systems-Based Practice requires residents/fellows to demonstrate an awareness of and responsiveness to the larger context and system of health care, as well as the ability to call effectively on other resources in the system to provide optimal health care. Residents/fellows are expected to:

Work effectively in various health care delivery settings and systems relevant to their clinical specialty Coordinate patient care within the health care system relevant to their clinical specialty; Incorporate considerations of cost awareness and risk benefit analysis in patient care;Advocate for quality patient care and optimal patient care systems;Work in inter-professional teams to enhance patient safety and improve patient care quality; and Participate in identifying system errors and in implementing potential systems solutions.
